The story is a fascinating one and many conspiracy theories abound. Like, why did he walk past so many houses without calling for help? And he didn't seem to be quite drunk out of his mind. Such a strange chain of events.

Rich people get away with things, news at 11.

What always got me most is that he was driving such an everyday normal car, like any of our grandparents would have driven at the time.  That Olds is the erquivalent of maybe an Avalon today.
